Student presentations set for International Education Week

Chadron State College students from abroad will commemorate International Education Week by telling about their home countries, Nov. 16-20.

The festivities will kick off with a quiz bowl and dance Saturday, Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. the Student Center. Prizes, food and music will be provided throughout the evening. Members of the CSC International Club will speak in the Student Center on Monday through Thursday and wrap up the series Friday at the Bean Broker with a combined presentation. The start time for each presentation is 7 p.m.

Each night of the week will feature a unique region of the world. Following is the line-up: Monday, Asia; Tuesday, Africa and Dominica; Wednesday, Europe and Central Asia; and Thursday, Latin America and the Caribbean. Refreshments will be served each night.

In addition to the presentations, the club will host students of area rural elementary schools Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 17, for international education activities.

About 40 international students are enrolled at CSC, representing more than 20 countries.
