Student art to be displayed

Two art exhibits featuring work created by Chadron State College students since the beginning of the school year will go on display in Memorial Hall on Wednesday, April 22.

The Advanced Art Studio Exhibit, which consists of pieces by five students who are each concentrating on one art medium, will be in the upstairs gallery. The students are Valerie Short of Scottsbluff, ceramics, Pat Moss of Chadron, ceramics, Emily Hudson of Benkelman, oil and landscape, Anna Higgins of Deaver, Wyo.,, water color portraiture, and Susi Schaefer of Chadron, ceramic sculpture.

The main gallery will feature the juried exhibit, which consists of selected pieces from students enrolled in CSC's wide variety of art courses.

Both shows will run through May 5. Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibit and the opening ceremony are open to the public free of charge.
