Senior art show opens at Memorial Hall
The Chadron State College spring 2009 senior art show opened Monday, April 6, in the main gallery of Memorial Hall. The exhibit, named "Design and Conquer," is a brightly colored graphic design themed show featuring the works of seniors Bobbi Bath of Douglas, Wyo., and Alliance natives Rehena Drummond and Jerome Dopheide.
The show marks the first time a CSC senior art exhibit exclusively features the work of graphic design majors. A majority of the pieces are graphic works but each artist displays a variety of other media. Along with graphic work Bath shows glass blowing and some photographic creations. Drummond also shows her collection of glass blown pieces, ceramics and photography. Dopheide shows paintings and photographs.
A reception for the artists will be Wednesday, April 8, from 4-6 p.m. The hours of the gallery are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The show will be on display through April 17. For more information, contact the art department at 308-432-6317.
