Ribbon Festival helps youth gain performance experience
Seven youth musicians from northwest Nebraska participated in the Ribbon Festival at Chadron State College’s Memorial Hall on Saturday.
The event was sponsored by CSC’s chapter of Music Teachers National Association. MTNA members Sarah Douglas of North Platte and Laura Empson of Chadron said the event was planned to help area students gain contest performing experience.
Each performer received written comments from a judge and received a ribbon.
The musicians who participated are Megan Bradley, Josh Hyer, Cydney Jancik, Spencer Margetts, Walt Mays, Katie McKeon and Ben Regier.
