Exhibit to feature art from Chadron Middle School
An art show featuring the year's best work by Chadron Middle School students will open at Chadron State College's Memorial Hall on Monday. The show's opening will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at the building's upstairs gallery, 239.
A jury of middle school faculty members selected about 50 pieces for the show at the request of the students' instructor, Patricia Bird.
The exhibit features a wide variety of work from throughout the school year, including paintings, ceramics, three-dimensional projects, yarn art, watercolors, acrylics and woven paper.
Bird said the students are excited to have their art featured in a gallery setting and viewed by college students and others who visit Memorial Hall.
The show will be open through Friday, April 17. Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibit and the opening ceremony are open to the public free of charge.
