Events set to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
Chadron State College will have a pair of events in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. in the coming week.
The first will be a candlelight vigil Thursday, Jan. 15, 7-8 p.m. in the Nelson Physical Activity Center in honor of King's birthday.
CSC's annual walk in honor of King will be Monday, Jan. 19 beginning at Third and Main streets at 9 a.m. The walk will end at the CSC Student Center, where people are invited to gather for refreshments and watch a video presentation about King.
The public is encouraged to participate in both events.
