Event to feature Shakespeare and Sonnets

Chadron State College students will present an evening of Shakespeare and Sonnets at the Sandoz Center this week. The event will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Chicoine Atrium.

The students of Dr. R.F. McEwen's Creative Writing and Shakespeare classes will present poetry and critical analysis. The writing students will deliver two poems, one of which will be a sonnet. Shakespeare students will deliver the results of research conducted about one or more Shakespeare plays.

The event will feature two guest readers, CSC students Iuliia Kovalenko of the Ukraine and Irina Martynova of Russia.

Students who will present during the event are Lesley Billingsley, Will Broeder, Amanda Cross, Ryan Holmquist, Megan Horn, Kent Kelso, Craig Kibler, Justin King, Brianna Leesch, Kevin Oleksy, Tom Oleksy, Jon Pierson and Mason Quin.

The presentations are expected to run until 8:15 p.m. The event is open to the public free of charge.
