Brad Smith, Chadron State College athletic director, will serve as marshal of the CSC homecoming parade Saturday.

The CSC homecoming committee selected Smith after he was chosen as head coach of the All-Time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Football Team that was announced this summer. Smith will ride the parade route with his wife, Pam.

Smith coached the CSC football team from 1987-2004 before stepping down to become the college’s full-time athletic director. He helped usher the Eagles into the RMAC in 1991 and posted a 110-39 record during 14 seasons. He had an 81-25 record in RMAC games and claimed five conference titles. He also led CSC to four NCAA Division II playoffs and he was a three-time RMAC Coach of the Year.

Smith is the all-time winningest football coach in CSC history with a record of 133-56-1. He has 82 more victories than Ross Armstrong, who is second on the list.

The homecoming parade will begin its route down Main Street at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
