Theatre Day is Thursday

More Than 330 High School Students Are Expected to Attend

More than 330 students from 16 high schools in three states will be at Chadron State College's Memorial Hall for Theatre Day on Thursday, Oct. 9. The event will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

Students and faculty of CSC's theatre department will present workshops in a variety of topics, including stage combat, set and lighting design, acting, improvisation and theatre games.

The students who attend will be given the opportunity to audition for scholarships and to see a special preview performance of the theatre department's production of "Godspell" that morning. The musical will open for public audiences Thursday night and run through Sunday.

The following high schools plan to attend Theatre Day:

Nebraska: Alliance, Chadron, Chase County, Crawford, Hay Springs, Hemingford and Minatare. South Dakota: Edgemont, Isabel, Oelrichs, Philip, Pine Ridge, Red Cloud and Rapid City St. Thomas More. Wyoming: Cheyenne Central and Torrington.
