Daniel Schweitzer, a Chadron State College senior seeking degrees in literature and history, is the next speaker scheduled for the Dorset Graves Lecture Series. His presentation will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. in room 108 of CSC's Reta King Library.

Schweitzer, who is a 2004 graduate of Hot Springs High School, will deliver a presentation titled "An Approach to Surrealist Epistemology."

Surrealism is definied as a style of art and literature that stresses the subconscious or nonrational significance of imagery arrived at by automatism or the exploitation of chance effects, unexpected juxtapositions and other similar features. Epistemology is the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature and scope of knowledge.

The event is open to the public free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
