The Chadron State College fall 2008 senior art show will open Monday, Dec. 1, in the main gallery of Memorial Hall. The show, "Reveal: A Glimpse into an Artist's Soul," features the works of graduating seniors Abby Christian of Gordon and Theresa Turner of Chadron.

Christian will exhibit work that includes sculpture, graphic design, glass, paintings and photographs. Christian said her imagery is inspired by the nature that surrounds her in the rural life she loves, her spirited personality and her vivid imagination. She will obtain a bachelor of arts with a comprehensive major in studio art and graphic design in December.

Turner's two-dimensional work of collage, painting and photography explores the spiritual side of the Christian faith. She earned a bachelor's degree in applied sciences from CSC in 1992 and is graduating with a bachelor of arts degree with a comprehensive major in art/art studio option. She is originally from Tiffin, Ohio, and has lived in the Chadron area for many years.

A reception for the artists will be Dec. 3 from 4-6:30 p.m. Many of the works in the show are for sale and a unique aspect will be an interactive piece inviting participation from the audience. The hours of the gallery are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The show will be on display through Dec. 14. For more information, contact the art department at 308-432-6317.
