Senate candidate Johanns to visit
Republican Senate nominee Mike Johanns will make a lunch-time stop at Chadron State College on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Johanns will meet with students and other members of the community from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Niobrara room of the Student Center. Prior to the open session he will tour the campus with CSC's three vice presidents, Dale Grant, Lois Veath and Randy Rhine.
Johanns stepped down as secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in September 2007 to run for the Senate seat being vacated by Chuck Hagel. He served as Nebraska's 38th governor from 1998-2004.
