Presenter to tell about Crazy Horse's relatives

Mike Her Many Horses, an independent scholar from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, will speak about finding Crazy Horse’s relatives during a presentation at Chadron State College on Tuesday, March 18. The presentation will be in room 108 of the Reta King Library at 7 p.m. as part of the Dorset Graves Lecture Series.

Her Many Horses has been active in Oglala Sioux and western South Dakota politics, having served a number of high ranking positions in and outside the tribe. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University and formerly was an instructor of Lakota studies and director of student services and financial aid at Oglala Lakota College. He has been working on two publications.

The presentation is part of a special series presented in conjunction with “Lewis and Clark and the Indian Country,” a traveling exhibit on display in the library. Both the lecture series and exhibit are open to the public free of charge.
