Poet next up in lecture series
Twyla Hansen, a poet from northeast Nebraska, is the next speaker in the Dorset Graves Lecture Series at Chadron State College.
Hansen’s presentation will be Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. in room 108 of the Reta King Library. Its title is “On the Plains: A Poet’s Perspective.”
Graves, the series’ namesake, opened the 2008-2009 schedule of speakers Sept. 2 with a presentation about the Greek language.

“An Approach to Surrealist Epistemology,” Daniel Schweitzer, Sept. 30; “Psychosocial Consequences of Brain Injury,” Laura Gaudet, Oct. 14; “Army Posts of Nebraska,” Tom Buecker, Oct. 28; and “Crow Butte Resource In Situ: Recovery Mining Operations,” Larry Teahon.
Each Graves Lecture Series presentation begins at 7 p.m., is open to the public free of charge and includes light refreshments.
