Jazz Birds downtown Wednesday
The Chadron State College Jazz Birds will perform at Wrecker’s Roadhouse in downtown Chadron on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m.
The Birds feature singers Rana Tucker, Chris Van Dyke and Jessica Van Cleeve in a unique blend of soul jazz, funk and Motown.
Dr. Sandy Schaefer, the group’s leader and arranger, said the band has several new charts for the performance.
“Our favorites are ‘Down to the Nightclub’ and ‘Attitude Dance,' both by Tower of Power,” he said. “Also new is ‘Blizzard of Lies’ which is a fun look at those little lies we hear every day. We have also added the Beatles’ song 'Got To Get You Into My Life.'”
