Homecoming voting under way

There are 26 candidates for queen and 25 candidates for king.

Fifty-one candidates are vying to become homecoming royalty at Chadron State College next week.

The king, queen and runners up will be announced at Elliott Field during halftime of CSC's football game against the Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.

Homecoming royalty is chosen by an online vote of the student body. Each CSC student club or organization is eligible to nominate a candidate for king and queen. There are 26 candidates for queen and 25 candidates for king.

The field will be narrowed prior to Saturday and finalists will be recognized during the combined concert of the CSC Wind Symphony and the Chadron Community Symphonic Band, which is Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
