Earth Day celebration is Tuesday
Chadron State College will celebrate Earth Day at the Student Center from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The celebration, which is being sponsored by CSC's Geoscience Club, will feature informational booths from regional and national conservation organizations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The “Recycle Olympics,” an event that challenges contestants to sort recyclable products for prizes, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that will be “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me,” which will provide environmental information, discussion and prizes.
The celebration will conclude with a concert by the Max Turner Band from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
