Dr. Thomas Deane Tucker, Chadron State College professor of humanities, has published a book about two French 20th century intellectual icons. The title is "Derridada: Duchamp as Readymade Deconstruction."

Tucker's book was published by Lexington Books of Lanham, Md., and hit bookstore shelves earlier this month.

The 110-page compilation, which explores the works of artist Marcel Duchamp and the philosopher Jacques Derrida, is being marketed to students and scholars interested in Modernism and the avant-garde. Publicity material states the book will be useful for undergraduate students of art history, modernism, and critical theory, as well as for graduate students of philosophy, visual culture studies and art theory.

Although Tucker has had numerous papers accepted for publication, this is his first book. He said it was written after 2 ½ years of research and writing.
