The 26th annual Chadron State College Chess Open will be Saturday, March 15, in the upstairs lobby of the Kline Center. The tournament is open to any chess player. Dr. Ron Miller, a CSC professor who is organizing the tournament, said participants should bring standard chess pieces and board, and, if available, a chess clock. He said they should arrive before 10 a.m.

The first of four rounds is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. The final round is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m., unless earlier rounds finish early.

The $7 entry fee is payable at the tournament. There will be at least six trophies awarded and refreshments served.

The tournament is being sponsored by the Northwest Gamesters Association, an organization comprised of Chadron State students, alumni, faculty and staff.

More information may be obtained by contacting Miller at 308-432-6252 office, 308-432-2384 residence, or by e-mail, rmiller@csc.edu.
