Candlelight vigil is Friday
Chadron State College will have a candlelight vigil and memorial service for CSC student Kenny Pfeiffer of Sebastian, Fla., who died in an alleged homicide Friday. The service will be Friday at 6 p.m. in the Student Center.
The speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Russ Seger of Chadron. Any others interested in participating in the service may contact Jessica Cervantes, CSC Student Senate president, at jecerv@eagles.csc.edu, or Muriah Messersmith, CSC Campus Activities Board president, at mumess@eagles.csc.edu.
In addition, Pfeiffer’s family will have a memorial service at 6 p.m. EST Thursday at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian.
In lieu of flowers, people are being asked to donate in Pfeiffer's name to the Sebastian River High School athletic department. Pfeiffer was a three-sport athlete at the school before graduating in 2004.
