Una Taylor vocal recital is Sunday
Dr. Una D. Taylor, a soprano, will present a recital at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at Chadron State College.
The program will be open to the public without charge.
Dr. Taylor is in her second year as assistant professor in choral and vocal studies at Chadron State, where she conducts the women's vocal ensemble and the Chadron Community Chorus. She joined the faculty at Chadron State a year ago after obtaining her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Connecticut.
The program Sunday will be her first solo recital since she came to Chadron State. She will present music by Donizetti, Donaudy, Rorem, Schumann and Poulenc.
She will be accompanied on the piano by James Margetts, assistant professor of music at CSC.
