Tickets are available for Chadron State College’s next Galaxy Series event, a performance by Mexican folk music and dance group Ballet Folklorico “Quetzalli” de Veracruz.

The performance will be Thursday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Memorial Hall auditorium.

Publicity material describes the group as a visual fiesta of culture and folklore that features many regional dances of old Mexico — in particular, their home state of Veracruz.

The company features a group of young entertainers that uses stringed instruments to punctuate the movement, colorful costumes and pulse of its dance.

Founded in 1985, the dance company has grown to 45 dancers and 10 musicians. It has performed for audiences around the world.

Tickets may be reserved by calling the CSC Box Office at (308) 432-6360 5-6 p.m. each weekday, or by e-mail, boxoffice@csc.edu.
