Oktoberfest is next week
The Chadron State College Campus Historical Forum will present its annual Oktoberfest celebraton, Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center.
Tickets for the fund-raiser are available by contacting any CHF member, or club sponsor Joel Hyer at (308) 432-6250. The price is $6 for adults, and $5 for CSC students and children.
The meal will feature bratwurst, homemade German potato salad, drinks and a large variety of desserts. A band led by John Armstrong of Chadron will play German polka music during the meal.
The club uses proceeds from the event to fund scholarships and its annual tour of historical sites. Club members have their sights set on going to Boston this year. CHF has traveled to Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Calgary and Seattle in years past.
