CSC group, community chorus to perform Sunday

Published:

The Chadron Community Chorus and Chadron State College women’s vocal ensemble will join for a concert Sunday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. in the Chadron Arts Center at Fourth and King Streets.

CSC choral and vocal studies professor Dr. Una Taylor, who directs the two groups, said the concert features songs from a “classic, traditional choral repertoire.”

On the lineup are about a dozen numbers, many of which are regarded as spiritual masterpieces. Taylor said the two groups will combine for the concert’s final piece, “Ev’ry Time I Feel the Spirit.”

The Chadron Community Chorus is made up of more than 25 singers of various ages and occupations, and the women’s vocal ensemble features 13 of CSC’s outstanding vocalists.

Taylor is encouraging people to take note of the start time, which is an hour later than originally scheduled to accommodate another community event.

Advance tickets may be reserved at a reduced price by contacting the CSC Box Office at (308) 432-6360 or boxoffice@csc.edu. It is open 4-6 p.m. each weekday. Seating is free for CSC students and employees who reserve tickets in advance. All tickets at the door will be $6.
