CSC graduates sign teaching contracts

Many graduates of Chadron State College during the 2006-07 school year have signed teaching contracts for the new school year, according to a report issued by the Internship and Career Services Office at the college.

Personnel in the office said there was a strong demand by highly qualified teachers again this year, and a large majority of the graduates with teaching degrees readily found job.

Those graduating in December and their new jobs are:

Elyssa Bochek, North Platte, third grade, Washington Elementary School, North Platte; Loren Braman, Mitchell, history at Mitchell High School; Paige Bredenkamp, Chadron, middle school English in Rushville; Laura Brooks, Chadron, kindergarten in Rushville; Krista Brusseau of Gordon, first grade in Gordon; Kendra Burkholder of North Platte, second grade at Hall Elementary School, North Platte.

Amanda Carlson, Hay Springs, upper grades at Mirage Flats School; Casie Claussen, English in South Korea; Jamie Cranmore, Bridgeport; family and consumer science at Leyton Schools; Kristin Gaiovnik, Woodbury, Minn., kindergarten at Keams Canyon, Ariz.; Stephanie Hruby, Marsland, lower grades at Pink School in Sioux County; Mikel Landreth, Chadron, para-professional in Chadron Elementary Schools.

Jenny Nekuda, North Platte, fourth grade at Jefferson Elementary School, North Platte; Alisa Pittman of Gering, fifth grade in Minatare; Shannon Reimann, Hay Springs, pre-kindergarten in Hay Springs; Lisa Rogers, Gering, fourth grade in Bayard; Stephanie Scherbarth, Worland, Wyo., social sciences at South Platte High, Big Springs; Danielle Stara, Ulysses, math at St. Cecelia Schools, Hastings.

Anna Stephenson of Minden, inclusion at Frontier Middle School, Casper; Michael Trausch, Roseland, special education and coaching at Schuyler; Cynthia Trover, Hershey, fourth grade at Sutherland; and Shawna Van Schoiack, Sutherland, special education at Stapleton.
