Benefit concert is tonight

The Chadron State College collegiate chapter of Music Teachers National Association has organized a benefit concert for tonight (Thursday, Nov. 1) as part of the local recognition of National Make-a-Difference Day. The free concert, which begins at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall, will be headlined by the debut performance of the CSC Faculty Jazz Quintet and will feature other CSC faculty and student performers.

The concert is organized to benefit 8-year-old Crawford resident Lewie Huggett, who lost the use of his right arm in a car accident last spring. Lewie is scheduled to have nerve reattachment surgery in New Orleans in early November. Donations will be accepted during the concert to offset the tremendous costs associated with this operation.
