Alliance woman to head Student Senate

An Alliance woman, Kylee Stanley, is the new president of the Student Senate at Chadron State College. She succeeds Corey Wasserburger of Fort Worth, Texas, who headed the senate this past year.

Stanley is a pre-medicine student in the Rural Health Opportunities Program at Chadron State. She also will be president of Cardinal Key National Honorary Society during the 2007-08 school year.

Stanley was a junior senator her freshman year at CSC and has represented Arts and Sciences on the senate the past two years. She was chairman of the Student Affairs Committee this year. She also was vice president of the Political Science Club, belongs to the Health Professions Club and has been a tutor in the CSC Tutoring Center.

She is the daughter of Georgia Stanley.

The new Student Senate vice president is Alex Laudenklos of Monroe, a graduate of Twin River High School. He also is a pre-medicine major.

The other new officers are Melissa Johnson of Sidney, recording secretary; Brian Rochelle of Casper, Wyo., corresponding secretary; Lea Wells of St. Paul, treasurer; Jessica Cervantes of West Point, chief justice; and Justin Welsh of Hershey, parliamentarian.
