Orientation at CSC on Wednesday
The third and final on-campus orientation of the summer at Chadron State College will be Wednesday, July 19. About 65 students and numerous parents are expected to participate.
Some of the students will take placement tests beginning at 7:30 a.m. while the session will officially begin at 9:30 in the Student Center. After an informational presentation on the college given by Dr. Lois Veath, vice president of academic affair, the students will meet with faculty advisers to solidify their class schedules for this fall.
About 150 students attended the previous two on-campus orientations this summer. Eight registration sessions also took place at various locations this spring.
As of July 18, the Admissions Office reported 451 new students have pre-registered for the fall semester. That’s up slightly from the figure on the same date a year ago.
Anyone wishing to attend CSC who has not applied may contact the Admissions Office to begin the process.
