The Montana Repertory Theatre will take the stage of Chadron State College’s Memorial Hall for its performance of “The Trip to Bountiful” on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m.

“The Trip to Bountiful” tells the story of elderly Carrie Watts who leaves the city to revisit her hometown in the low farmland of the Texas coast. While there, “she discovers, amidst the ruin and decay of time’s passage, the satisfaction of a life well-lived and a renewed connection to her past.” The play was created by Horton Foote.

The Chadron performance will be the 10th of more than 30 stops the Montana group is making on its national tour. The company, which is based at the University of Montana at Missoula, travels with a cast of eight actors, a stage manager, a company manager and a technical crew of six.

The performance is being presented at CSC as part of the college’s Galaxy Series of fine arts events. Tickets purchased in advance are $10 for adults, $6 for children and seniors, and free for Chadron State College students and employees. All tickets at the door will be $11.

Tickets may be reserved by calling the Memorial Hall Box Office at (308) 432-6360 from 2-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. During other times, people may leave a message with their phone number on the box office answering machine. Calls will be returned as soon as possible.

The Montana Repertory Theatre is supported by the Mid-America Arts Alliance with underwriting by the National Endowment of the Arts, the Nebraska Arts Council, and foundations, corporations and individuals throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas.
