Chadron State homecoming royalty crowned

A junior from Chadron, Renee Roes, is the homecoming queen at Chadron State College. The king is Joel Repenning, a junior from Bloomfield, Neb.

They were crowned at halftime of the Eagles’ football game with Western New Mexico on Saturday.

The queen is the daughter of Jamie and Sandy Roes. She was nominated by the Admissions Ambassadors. The king is the son of Rod and Kayleen Repenning. He was nominated by Campus Crusade for Christ. Both are majoring in human biology.

The first runners-up to the royal couple are Kelsey Stevens of Yankton, S.D., and Jordan Colwell of Alliance.

The other attendants are Carrie Dunn of Falls City and Alex Laudenklos of Monroe, Neb., and Amanda Owens of Harvard, Neb., and Corey Wasserburger of Fort Worth, Texas.
