Chadron State has recognition dinner

Four Chadron State College employees who have retired and another who will retire at the end 2006 were recognized Friday night during a dinner in the Student Center.

The retirees are Janice Blundell, who worked in the Admissions Office for more than 27 years; Dr. Loren Froehlich, a psychology professor for 25 years; Dr. Hilda Lopez Laval, a Spanish professor 10 years; and Bonnie Noble, who worked at CSC 25 years, the last 20 as a library assistant.

Also honored was Corey Sendel, who will retire as a computer programmer and analyst at the end of the year. He has worked at CSC nearly 25 years.

Among the others recognized at the dinner were Dr. Ron Weedon, who has taught biology at CSC for 35 years, and three individuals who have had 30 years of service at the college. They are Terry Burks, who works in the business office; Dr. Ron Miller, a sociology professor; and Dr. George Watson, a justice studies professor.

20 Years -- Patricia Blundell, Silas Kern, Peggy Marshall, Kathy Mason, Sam Rankin.

15 Years -- Carla Crawford, Dani Donker, Bonnie Eleson, Frances Gonzalez, Joyce Hardy, Shawn Hartman, Tracy Nobiling, Michele Rickenbach.

10 Years -- Melody Carnahan, Scott Cavin, Joby Collins, Terie Dawson, Karen Hughart, Sally Katen, Tim Keith, Mike Leite, Catherine Lockwood, Johnnie Olivas.
