Bruning to highlight Constitution Day at CSC

Published:

Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning will speak about constitutional issues when he visits Chadron State College on Monday, Sept. 18.

Bruning’s presentation will begin at 8 a.m. in the Scottsbluff room and is open to the public free of charge. It is one of a number of events planned in the college’s Student Center to celebrate Constitution Day.

Chadron State personnel will be showing videos related to constitutional issues. In addition, Dr. Lisette Leesch, CSC legal studies professor, will host a quiz booth in which participants can compete for prizes by answering questions about the Constitution.

Consitution Day, which was created by Congress in 2004, celebrates the day in which the Constitution was signed by 39 delegates of the U.S. Constitutional Convention, Sept. 17, 1787.
