Appleseed Foundation representative to visit CSC

Published:

Jen Hernandez, community educator with the Nebraska Appleseed Foundation for Law in the Public Interest, will take part in a pair of events at the Chadron State College Student Center on Thursday, March 16.

From 1 p.m., Hernandez will visit with professionals who have clients receiving or eligible for assistance benefits to attend college.

The presentation, which is being sponsored by CSC’s Project Strive/Trio program, will address how to help low income Nebraskans access postsecondary education in order to meet their Employment First work requirement.

At 3:15 p.m., Hernandez will take part in a roundtable discussion about women in politics. That event is being sponsored by the CSC Diversity Committee and Social Work Club.

Both events are free and open to the public and will be in the Ponderosa Room of the Student Center.
