Sophomore flutist selected for 'showcase recital'
Stephanie Aulston, a sophomore from Julesburg, Colo., will represent Chadron State College during a “showcase recital” Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Nebraska Music Educators Conference in Lincoln. She will perform the third movement of “Concerto in D” by Franz Haydn on her flute.
Aulston will be accompanied on the piano by Melissa Huber of Sturgis, S.D. One student from each college and university in the state has been chosen to play at the recital. Twelve Chadron State music majors will attend the conference, which will include numerous sessions on “Celebrating Music Diversity.”
