Childhood Conference set for February
Chadron State College’s 16th annual Excellence in Early Childhood Conference will be Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 24-26. Dr. Kim Madsen, the conference’s director, said the event will feature a number of sessions to provide information and motivation for those who work with young children. It will also feature presentations from a pair of popular speakers.
They are African-American storyteller Opalanga Pugh of Denver, Colo, and Jonathan Mooney of New York, who overcame a learning disability to earn a college degree from Brown University and become an author.
