Two hired to professional staff

Two new professional staff members began working at the Chadron State College campus this month. They are Amanda Nipp, student intervention coordinator for CSC’s Student Support Services, and Cricket Haag, Chadron State Foundation business manager.

Nipp has been an office assistant in the Chadron State Admissions Office since August 2003. A native of Bloomfield, she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Nebraska Wesleyan in 2001 and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas in May 2003.

She lives in Gordon with her husband, Michael, who is employed by Great Plains Communications.

Haag, a CPA, has nine years of experience in public accounting.

She was a staff accountant at Terry G. Ellinger, CPA, at McCook from 1995-2000 and has been a supervisor at Fred A. Lockwood & Co., P.C., at Chadron the past four years.

Originally from Hayes Center, she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Chadron State in 1994.

Haag lives in Chadron with her husband, Justin, Chadron State communications coordinator, and their 15-month-old son, Sawyer.
