Sopranos to give recital

Published:

Two sopranos who have been heavily involved in music and theater the past few years at Chadron State College will join forces to have their senior recital at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3 in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center.

They are Samantha Farris, a graduate of East High School in Cheyenne, and Tammy Glasscock, a graduate of Douglas High School near Rapid City. Both have sung with the CSC choir and select groups. Both had major roles in the musical “Grease” last spring.

Both Farris and Glasscock were voice students of Dr. Roger MacNeill their first two years at CSC and have studied under Dr. Joel Schreuder the past two years. Both will graduate from Chadron State on May 8.

During the recital, they will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Will Baily and CSC graduate student Nicole Smith.

All senior recitals at CSC are open to the public without charge. Refreshments will follow.
