Services for Linda Nitsch, 56, of Chadron will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6 in Memorial Hall at Chadron State College. She died early Monday morning.

Nitsch, who was an instructor of business at Chadron State, received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from CSC. She had worked at the college since 1990, serving as secretary to the dean of the School of Business and Applied Sciences the first four years. She was the cooperative education coordinator from 1994 to 1997, when she joined the business faculty. She was the primary sponsor for Phi Beta Lambda Business Fraternity at CSC, and was named the state PBL Advisor of the Year in 2002.

Before going to work at the college, she had been the office manager for the Chicago and North Western Railroad for 15 years.

She was president of the Chadron Community Hospital board of directors when the hospital purchased Prairie Pines Lodge. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Does and the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband Gil, her mother, seven children and 17 grandchildren.
