Homecoming royalty crowned

Students nominated by Campus Crusade for Christ are the homecoming royalty at Chadron State College. The queen is Megan Boyle, a junior from North Platte, and the king is Jeremy Slaughter, a senior from Woodland Park, Colo.

The coronation took place Friday evening. Homecoming and Band Day are today (Saturday, Oct. 23). Highlights will include a parade down Chadron’s Main Street at 9:30 a.m. and the football game between the Eagles and Western State College of Gunnison, Colo., at 1:30 p.m.

Boyle is an elementary education major and is the daughter of Jim and Christi Boyle. Slaughter is a business management and management information systems major and is the starting center on the football team. His parents are Reid and Dianna Slaughter.

Like Slaughter, both of the first attendants also are from Woodland Park. They are seniors Amy Madison and Jeremiah Vardiman. Both were nominated by the Campus Activities Board.

The second attendants are Courtney Bartlett of Eustis and Ryan Banks of Wausa. The third attendants are Nicole Luebbert of Grand Island and Anthony Ybarra of Gering. The fourth attendants are Becky Hoekema of Sidney and Ben Treffer of Scottsbluff.
