Fatherhood forum is Thursday at CSC
A community fatherhood forum and training will be at Chadron State College on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 22-23. The conference at the CSC Student Center is open to the public and free of charge.
Donica Aldalabih, program manager for Early Head Start, said the event will provide valuable information not only for fathers, but for all who are interested in the topic of fatherhood.
Neil Tiff, who operates a national fatherhood program in Minnesota, will be one of the speakers.
The conference also will feature a family law clinic, in which lawyers will be present to answer questions about domestic law free of charge.
The event is being sponsored by the Northwest Community Action Partnership, Head Start/Early Head Start, Nebraska Fatherhood Initiative, National Practitioners Network for Fathers and Families and Chadron State College Family and Consumer Sciences.
Registration for the conference begins at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. More information may be obtained by contacting Head Start at (308) 432-5018.
