CSC to limit smoking in residence halls

Published:

Chadron State College is responding to input from students by designating smoking and non-smoking rooms in the residence halls.

Beginning fall 2004, smoking will be allowed in 165 of Chadron State’s 646 residence hall rooms.

Chadron State Dean of Students Rex Cogdill said the new policy is in response to student concerns and was created to satisfy both smokers and non-smokers.

Smoking will still be allowed in some rooms in Andrews Hall, Brooks Hall, Kent Hall and the West Court apartments. No smoking will be allowed in the High Rise, and Edna Work Hall and Wing.
