CSC commencement is Friday evening

The speaker will be U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson, who was elected to the Senate in November 2000 after serving eight years as the Nebraska governor.

Nelson will be the first U.S. senator to speak at a Chadron State commencement since Roman Hruska was the speaker in May 1955. Nelson also was the commencement speaker in May 1997 when he was the governor.
