CSC Christmas concert is Tuesday night
It will sound a lot like Christmas when the Chadron State College concert choir and wind ensemble combine for a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7 in Memorial Hall.
The men’s vocal ensemble and Merry TubaChristmas also are on the program.
The men's ensemble will be performing"Natus Est Nobis," "Ose Shalo” and "Child of God. “ The concert choir will be singing the "Nowel: Owt of Your Slepe Aryse,” which is medieval British carol, and "Ding! Dong! Merrily on High.”
The Merry TubaChristmas ensemble, made of tuba players of all ages from throughout the area, will be performing traditional Christmas carols as well as the ever-popular "Santa Wants a Tuba for Christmas".
The wind ensemble will play "A Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson, "Variations on Deck the Halls" and "An American Christmas." Both of the latter numbers are arranged by Robert Smith.
Also the wind ensemble director, Dr. William Winkle will coordinate Merry TubaChristmas at CSC as well as in Scottsbluff, Rapid City, Kearney and Grand Island this month.
