CSC awards Cooperating School Scholarships
Twenty-two recent high school seniors have received Cooperating School Scholarships to help them attend Chadron State College beginning this fall.
The scholarships pay one-half of the in-state tuition for four years. They are presented to outstanding graduates of school systems that host student teachers from Chadron State. Preference is given to students who plan to become teachers.
The recipients, by their hometowns, are:
Alliance--John Girard.
Chadron—Shana Gulbranson
Crawford—Sarah Raben.
Gering—Allison Smith.
Gordon—Kasey Demicell and Lisa Vinton.
Harrison—Sam Holmgren.
Hay Springs—Barbara Valentine.
Hermosa, S.D.—Leah Smith (graduated from Douglas High School)
Hot Springs—Rachel Burtlaff, and Audrey Roberts
Morrill—Brendan Calahan.
Ogallala—Kerri Adkins and Nicole Hagan.
Pine Ridge—Felicia Clifford
Rushville—Kristin Moore.
Scottsbluff—Kyle Lacy, Whitney Rickard, Angela Sadle, Andrea Swank and Russell Trout.
Sutherland—Chase Rasby.
In addition, Shane Harris of Chadron, who will be a sophomore at CSC this fall, has been awarded a Cooperating School Scholarship for the next three years after the original recipient transferred to another institution.
