Children's book author coming to Chadron

A highly-regarded author of children’s books, Sneed Collard of Missoula, Mont., will be in Chadron on Monday, Feb. 23. He will speak to Chadron elementary students and their teachers in the morning and address the Ne-Kota Reading Council that evening in the Bordeaux Room of the Student Center at Chadron State College.

Collard has written more than 30 children’s books. Most of them are science-oriented. He has traveled the world doing research and talking to children.

Collard’s presentation Monday night is primarily for area teachers and Chadron State students who are studying to be teachers, but it also will be open to the public.
