Author to discuss global warming
A journalist who traveled the world gathering information about global warming will speak at Chadron State College at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8 in the Student Center Ballroom.
Bob Reiss is a former Chicago Tribune reporter who wrote “The Coming Storm.” He interviewed scientists researching global warming, politicians fighting to do something about protecting the climate as well as those opposed to such action and victims of extreme weather.
Reiss also has written “The Last Spy,” which was a Washington Post bestseller, and “The Road to Extrema,” about his travels to the Amazon, where he witnessed massive rainforest destruction.
His appearance at CSC will be part of the college’s Distinguished Speakers Series.
