The John and Mildred Castek Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

Recipient shall be a rural student of Dawes County.

Mr. Castek was a teacher and superintendent for many years and for many different school districts until 1943 when he became the Dawes County Superintendent of Schools. This scholarship was created by his wife and son John Jr. in recognition of his passion to help children learn and enjoy school.
