P Joan Cosgrave's dedication to education is demonstrated through this scholarship benefiting students who could not continue their education without financial assistance. Joan was an English Professor at CSC from 1966 to 1970, during that time she encountered several students experiencing extreme financial difficulties. She opened the doors of her home to assist students who lived in their cars or went without meals to pay for college. Joan continues her generosity through this gift and will benefit students for generations to come.
