Criteria:

The scholarship will be given to a student presenting an outstanding scholastic record and majoring in Physics or Mathematics.

Lewis Sanders was a graduate of Chadron State College with a major interest in mathematics and physics. After graduation, he spent several years during World War II as a Navy pilot. Because of his interest in science during his college years, this scholarship was established as a memorial.
