Criteria:

Preference will be given to a student enrolled as an Elementary Education major with overall GPA of 2.5.

L. Ione Marshall graduated from Chadron High School in 1938. She received her teacher's certificate from Chadron Teacher's College. She continued teaching while advancing her degree from Beginners to Bachelor's and eventually a Master’s degree from CSC. Her teaching career ended in 1985 after teaching 45 years, 27 of those years for Chadron Public Schools. She established this scholarship for a deserving future teacher and to pass on this advice: Never give up!
